Our customer needed a simple, easy to use and most importantly, and automated system for feeding small farm animals.
The Process
Additive Manufacturing, Timers And Math
Using the Additive Manufacturing (3D printing), we were able to imbed bearings into parts, and used a high torque motor to spin an auger for at a set rate in order to dispense a specific amount of food!
The product or Solution
The Prototype in Testing
We then integrated the automated feeder system into a pipe that was fed by a tank welded above the shaft. This Clever Solution allowed for huge time savings and more regular feeding times.
