Parts Obsolescence
Customer needed a part that was no longer being sold from regular suppliers. A servo gear box had a striped out gear that needed to be able to withstand high temperature fluctuations.
The Process
Special Material 3D Printing
We were able to use CAD software to redesign a gear to replace the broken part. We then used 3D printing to recreate the part using a high temp PETG material.
The product or Solution
Time And Money Savings
We were able to successfully test our design and achieved perfect results. This gear box was back up and running in minimal down time, and saved costly alternate solutions. The part is still being used to this day!
